She ripped off hotels which is one thing but she also conned people who believed she was a friend into paying her bills leaving some losing all their savings. I don't know about US law but as she is a criminal and being deported. How is she allowed to work making her art in the US and have an exhibition selling her art in the US ? I thought people need work permits and all that stuff.
