As their vision comes into focus, the colors and dots come alive. There are really good quality copies out there too so when she gets older she can rip it off, smear formula, etc and you can replace it.
Many street artists do their interpretation of the dots so you could probably find something similar and original.

I will continue to add Jay Ryan's work to any kid thread. He does a lot of gig posters, but there are some great kid friendly prints, very cheap $30-$50 and usually all the same size so can be switched out regularly. My daughter (now 23) still has a couple of his prints on her walls.
I also recommend something I did with my kids. Each year I would buy that an extra toy that they were loving and put it in a suitcase. Then on their 18th birthday I gave them the suitcase. The look of joy on their faces as they looked at the toys they loved made my day!

We had our first one just over 9 months ago so I went on a similar journey for some art for him. He's got an Ernest Zacharevic Jurrasic Bark ready for one wall and is probably going to get a Haring dog too. They seemed really kid friendly images and hopefully he'll grow to love them. He adores my Blek Crooner. Sometimes looking at it is the only thing that calms him down at night. Now he waves to it everytime he goes past. Melts my heart.

I framed one of the Stik baby postcards. Ours was to remember the baby we unfortunately lost due to a miscarriage during the first lockdown but there's no reason it couldn't be for a happy pregnancy too. It's a great image and the postcard is a lot more affordable.

Sounds like your bun is cooking nicely and such a good due date - I'm torn between wanting to get it done ASAP so I can have the last days of Rome in my house (sashimi, steak tartare, Camembert, and a few bottles of my favourite Sauvignon Blanc.....plus maybe a nice bag of green  ) but also being an august baby myself it sucks being the youngest ALL THE TIME. FWP though really, as long as it has all its fingers and toes I'm cool with whenever it wants to show up all the best to you and your partner!! exciting times
p.s. treat them to a paddling pool now. It'll be just our luck that it'll be the hottest summer on record (!)

If its like last time there won't be any big blowouts in this house as my partner breastfed our son for two years so had to behave herself a bit still. She's a teacher so has already filled me in on how fortuitous a September baby is. Like you we're just hoping for a healthy happy baby though really.
Paddling pool and gazebo are already on standby for her. She'll probably want to come and sleep in my workshop though as I've got aircon.

For me, this is the best suggestion yet. From the child’s perspective this image must’ve been mesmerising. Such a thoughtful thing to have painted and I am sure it was, and continues to be, appreciated by your kid.

Even as the world burns into a fiery hell of misery and despair……the kindness, generosity and true friendship I get from all of you here never ceases to amaze me.
This arrived this morning and I promptly burst into tears (blaming hormones?!) What a beautiful and perfectly apt piece of art that will be hanging pride of place in our baby’s nursery.

Now we know we’re having a girl, and her name is Jessica Scout R P (R P are the initials of our surnames ) so now I’m looking for the letter canvases but it seems R doesn’t exist. Of course that’s The initial of MY surname, Sod’s law innit. Haha
