I was offered one today by the gallery as I’ve bought from them before. I was nearly going to buy, but just held back as I thought they would be too small. Still like them, but not enough to pay nearly 18,000 NOK / £1,600 + shipping and import fees.

They are all pre-framed only and just available from smwhrstudio.com who are Martin’s management as well. They have a long client list so not sure if still available. They had 10 earlier this month (for their charity auction) which could only be bought in person in Norway so the have released a few more for international customers.

Exactly. The thought of an original Whatson for $2k doesn’t sound bad. My only hesitation is that, with all heart themed art, it’s been done a dozen times before and is derivative. I missed out on a large Whatson Tiger canvas something like 10 years ago, before he was popular, for $1,500 because I hesitated and ultimately passed…and I’ve been keen on getting an original of some sort since then.

Now all the pictures for the book (limited edition) are ready packed for the launch on May 12 at 6 pm on @rampenoslo. Here are really many beautiful paintings on paper by Martin Whatson. It will also be possible to buy a signed book «Insideoutsider». I am very happy, proud and really hope I see many at this launch !!
