White Cube try and place these but have no real idea of the people theyโre dealing with. Real VIPs are currently in Venice.

Original buyer then gets the pleasure of donating to charity twice while also enjoying the print :-)

I would guess if the artist who is diluting his releases by offering this release to the market for no financial gain had the choice He would rather they wouldnt be sold straight on.
By putting the no resale clause in, it will hopefully stop this to an exent with the unspoken threat of the gallery shit listing buyers who do.
I dont believe it would have sold out as well if everyone that did buy and decided to sell within say 2 years had to donate all profits to charity. Would be great if it could be enforced somehow? Or maybe it is by restricting future purchases to people that do?

If you want to sell it privately, nobody is going to stop you. You're only shooting yourself in the foot with the gallery if they happen to find out, you're essentially black balling yourself from any other works.
Pipe dream would be an understatement to think you could force secondary sales proceeds into charities etc.

I think that must be a mistake. The Gormley prints are photogravure... A single colour image, photographically transferred to an etching plate and printed.
These aren't that.
