I`ve bought quite a few pieces direct from the artist themselves or a reputable gallery. But I have never bought from an auction before.
There are a couple of pieces from heritage auction that don`t specifically state that it comes with a COA. I have inquired further. But these are pieces from the early 2000s that I love.
How vital is it that it comes with the original COA when buying from an auction house such as heritage auction?

But depends a little on what you’re buying and the price.
If it’s a Banksy print, then yes, COA.
If it’s a cheapish print from 1xRun, then I’m not so bothered.

I never thought to ask about a shipping estimate thank you!
It's no a big blue chip such as Banksy, Warhol etc. Which I would defo want a COA for.
It's cheaper but still substantial for my wallet established but not blue chip (e.g. D face) artists.

Some artists just don't generally do COAs. Shepard Fairey for example. So it might be there's no COA for that reason too.

Just like Cleon peterson doesnt provide COA too.
I will ask a bit more about provenance, proof of purchases etc as really that`s just as good for me if I`m spending 2-3k.
