That aside and despite the obvious quality in the photos, the seller is a great guy and any potential buyers shouldn't hesitate.

I believe this is the difference between the frame being cut and assembled prior to painting compared to buying pre-painted long lengths and then cutting down as required. From my limited framers experience I know that Darbyshires will do the prior as they create their frames in-house, given other framing services I've purchased I imagine most outsource the manufacturing of the frame and only perform the assembly of the works inside the frame themselves. That being said it does add quite a premium. That aside and despite the obvious quality in the photos, the seller is a great guy and any potential buyers shouldn't hesitate. |
