Anyone found a good way of displaying their pilli pop?

What was it on your items that were poor?

My lollipop came too and has residue all over the stainless steel stick - I managed to pick it off so looks much better now.

I think my original do not harm lolly has resin on the wooden stick, suppose it makes it more 'individual' though!

My main issue was the quality and inconsistency of the resin pours. I ordered 17 Pilli Pops in total, so had quite a good sample size for comparison. 5 out of 17 had serious issues e.g. huge clusters of 40-50 small bubbles together, entire trails of bubbles running from the capsule to the outside where loads of air was escaping from the capsules, some had extremely large bubbles, resin being contaminated by dust/impurities during the pour, etc. A lot of these would have been easily avoided if just a little bit more care went into them.

I was expecting some level of bubbling inside. After all, they are handmade and will have imperfections as was correctly stated before. It's part of their charm! However, these five Pilli Pops are just on a totally different level. Given that 5 out of 17 Pilli Pops are effected to this degree (which is a significant amount) suggests to me that either this is considered an acceptable finish by the studio or they did not check the finished items.

If I would not have been disappointed with the previous, other issues like the flimsy plinth and various inconsistencies in the packaging would not have bothered me and would have been of no importance. However, they all added up and tell a story!

Unfortunately, to me that story is that not much attention to detail was given to these Pill Pops; from the production process, to the plinth design, to the packaging and finally to the quality control. Now that seed has been planted in my brain, it will not simply go away... and every time I look at them, I am thinking "too bad that not more love and attention went into them".

I understand that I probably stand alone in my views and this comes across quite harsh (especially as everyone has always been raving about the quality of Miss Bugs). I am just sharing my personal experience and opinion. Two cents is all it's worth (if even that)! Also, don't get me wrong, I still think that Miss Bugs creates incredible pieces of work, it will just not be for me in the future.

I had not finished the final design yet, but was initially planning of creating a cabinet/frame displaying all 15 Pilli Pop variants. Something inspired by the below Lolly Specimen Cabinets that were on show at Saatchi a few years back and the awesome Syringe framing that Mr Frameman did of which you can find pictures in the below thread.
