UV Filtering on Windows, by Acme Thunderer on Aug 4, 2022 13:27:38 GMT 1, This is a company I spoke to at a trade fair and kept their details. You should be able to apply yourself with a squeegee tool (used by signage fitters) if a small window.

UV Filtering on Windows, by SFBM on Aug 4, 2022 13:39:49 GMT 1, I have this in a number of rooms in my house - most of which I put up myself. It's not as easy as the instructions make out but I live in a fairly old house where all measurements are different etc.
The only window I was defeated on was a skylight where I ended up paying for professional installation by The Window Films Company.
Seems to work - been up for a number of years now.

UV Filtering on Windows, by SFBM on Aug 4, 2022 14:37:09 GMT 1, Thanks for the advice both, good to hear. @superfuzzbigmuff - is this the company you used for the skylight? www.windowfilm.co.uk WI had to replace the handle on this Velux once and it was a huge pain to do at such a height, so maybe it might be worth skipping the defat and going straight to paying someone That's the one. Yes, trying to apply a wet slimy film thats easily creased, over your head, whilst standing on a ladder is no fun.

UV Filtering on Windows, by Jules Leotard on Aug 5, 2022 3:05:05 GMT 1, Not to lead this conversation astray, but I looked on the website and the price is pretty reasonable. Do you think I could take this product and apply it (the clear version) to glass when making my own frames for UV protection? 10 meters at 1524mm is only 300 GBP. That would be enough UV protection for 20 500mm x 700mm pieces, so 15GBP per frame. That would be outstanding.
