Visit LONDON ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by met on Apr 26, 2016 17:24:58 GMT 1, First- thanks to all that provided their two pence in response to this thread. Appreciate it and we've had a marvelous first few days in London. In love with the city, could see ourselves living here. Have visited a number of galleries and seen a bunch of nice shows and walls. Also went to the Tate modern - and don't burn me here - but given some of the hype I've heard I was a bit underwhelmed compared to modern art museums stateside. -BSMT - caught last day of Fanakapan show - very nice -Hang Up -Jealous Gallery - great folks there and was able to see the screen printing areas and some Charming Baker prints in process to be released in May -Pure Evil Gallery -S|2 - Charming Baker show was great -Lawrence Alkin - Tom French show -Maddox Gallery - Bradley Theodore show opening in a couple days -Unit - interesting space, nice guys, inbetween shows -Stolenspace - Dface show -Nelly Duff Will be checking out the Maser show with Lazarides tomorrow. Anything we've missed and should see? I heard Somerset House has an interesting event going on and will try and see it if we're in Central. Thanks! 1. Mark Wallinger at Hauser & Wirth on Savile Row in Mayfair. www.hauserwirth.com/exhibitions/2717/mark-wallinger-id/view/ Location here.
2. Georg Baselitz at White Cube Bermondsey (preview tonight between 6-8pm) Go see this gallery. It's a very impressive space, almost museum-like. Get off at London Bridge station and walk down Bermondsey Street. whitecube.com/exhibitions/georg_baselitz_bermondsey_2016/ Location here.
3. Keith Coventry at Pace London in Mayfair (preview tonight between 6-8pm) www.pacegallery.com/london/exhibitions/12788/white-black-gold Location here.
4. Yoshรญtomo Nara at Stephen Friedman Gallery in Mayfair (preview tomorrow night, Wednesday, between 6-8pm) www.stephenfriedman.com/exhibitions/forthcoming/ Location here.

Visit LONDON ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Deleted on May 2, 2016 18:44:30 GMT 1, There have been two very well contributed threads on london rcommendations recently but slightly more mainstream as opposed to hidden gems but still loads of recommendations; one post in particular from Met could fill quite a few of your days in London. Would do no harm to review these threads for suggestions.

Visit LONDON ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by RoboJ on May 9, 2016 20:31:43 GMT 1, Today was not the ideal weather for putting up my Cost of Freedom butterflies, absolutely tipped it down as soon as I started which was perfect haha. Lots of amazing new work down in London, love walking around brick lane.
Here is my little addition in the car park on Brick Lane. It's not as tidy as I wanted as it was soaking wet but I hope you like it and the meaning.

I hope you don't mind some genuine feedback. I think the idea is great. A framed piece and the 3D butterflies that eminate from it work really well. The butterflies themselves look fabulous. And I like the idea that they are made from dollars. The one thing I don't like though, and I've seen it before from other artists, is the inclusion of a web address. For me it risks turning what should be street art in to a commercial concept. I appreciate that you will be wanting to raise your profile (though that can be done with a tag, without the website address), and that artists need to make a living. I hope that you will receive this in the constructive way that it's intended. Other than that one thing, lovely work.

Absolutely, thanks Coach. Your right, as soon as I put it on I didn't think it looked right. Trying to raise my profile but thats definitely a mistake. Really appreciate your feedback.

Cheers fella. I honestly think that doing good work like this is what will raise your profile. People seeing your work will google RoboJ. And thank you for such an engaging reply.

What sort of f**king demented idiot would ever do something so pathetic and puerile - no excuses at all....what a total and utter c**t!!
