Better for the graff imo. The graffiti is all gone and somebody has attempted a clean up, however, while they were there they turned the entire thing into a medieval hunting scene with tribes people stabbing the Roa hog with spears. I'm not a fan of this sort of intervention and restoration, the walls should take their natural course but hey ho, different strokes for different folks and all that.

I have not seen the "restoration", but agree with your comments about the ephemeral nature of street art.

We were sat out there on the chairs yesterday hanging out and it did get some odd comments, the usual slew of tourists stabbing phones in the air and walking off without even really looking at what's in front of them.

Obviously you can't beat a casual stroll around the city to explore the urban world for yourself, but sometimes a bit of added expertise can't hurt.
Any stories / experiences would be great.

Visit LONDON ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Film Director 247 on Apr 7, 2017 11:23:22 GMT 1, My girlfriend took me on the Alternative walking tour. It's not 100% specifically about street art but you do stop at a lot of murals / walls around Spitalfields & Brick Lane. Our guide told us a lot about the history of the place too and he was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about art. He was also a practicing street artist but wouldn't reveal his name. It was a free tour (pay what you think its worth at the end) and apparently had excellent reviews. I'd recommend it for people like myself who know a small amount about the street art scene but if you're interested in the history of the area too, then it's worth going.

The restoration if you can call it that was by Jim Vision.

Any other Hotel suggestions? Much appreciated.

Rooms are always really clean and tidy, beds are well comfy, staff are really friendly and they do a very decent Full English breakfast. I always stay at the one in York Road, near Westminster Bridge.
