Rooms are always really clean and tidy, beds are well comfy, staff are really friendly and they do a very decent Full English breakfast. I always stay at the one in York Road, near Waterloo Bridge.
Absolutely, I've always found Premier Inn to be far better than many supposed better brands. With work I usually ask for one, as they're always decent compared to say Hiltons, which are either good or crap.

The Ned is the new trendy hotel from the Soho house group which is in the middle of the city. Nice hotel and lovely restaurants but no where near any art. Anything over in shoreditch will be ideal for art, brick lane and hackney road. Or you could stay near Waterloo and check out the leake street tunnel for graffiti.
Or if you want to blow the budget go to park lane p, the Dorchester and see all the posh cars, but not much street art over there!

Agree with Citizen M mentioned above, and also the Premier Inn Hub in Brick Lane. Qbic London City is near Aldgate East Tube Station and Brick Lane (the StolenSpace end) and prices are reasonable - also recommended.

Meeting of styles was there last week and they did a new mural. There's also some good other stuff happening there.
On your way you will see some new stuff from El Pez. He was there a few days ago I believe.
