Hush, Goldie, Faile, Fairey, Neate, by Dominic Winter on Aug 12, 2022 14:31:37 GMT 1, Hi, I don't know anything about cookies, sorry... All the urban art, plus most of the rock records, etc., in this auction, came from the deceased estate of a maverick loner from London/Blaenavon. He must have spent his later years buying things online from dealers and bidding on eBay and sadly there is almost no paperwork to go with any of it. A lot of the prints were discovered in tubes in the attic. He didn't let his family visit him and they didn't know he had all this stuff (and much more) all over his house. We've done our best to avoid mentioning anything that is a forgery - there are Beatles, Sex Pistols, Pink Floyd signed albums with dodgy signatures that he bought - and this is all we know. He never had a great deal of money at any point so we don't think he ever spent more than some hundreds of pounds on any single item. I can't find any trace of the Banksy mentioned online anywhere or anything about it but the stencil is very similar if a little messy. Only Banksy would know for sure if it is genuine or not I guess. If you look at our website and the online catalogue you will see a full description (lot 362) and there is a photograph with a scratched number on the back. Not everything in the sale is his by a long way, but most of the urban art and some other rock/pop items are.
