"Helix Nebula, a new flower print, is part of Quinn's ongoing investigation into the contradictions inherent in our relationship with nature. In his flower paintings and prints, a collection of brilliantly-coloured flowers and fauna is used to create impossibly beautiful compositions that defy any form of natural relationship. This print, like the paintings, is both seductive and highly orchestrated, a reminder of how we manipulate nature to fruit and bloom at all times of the year. Quinn has generated the image using a photographic negative enhanced with a technicolour palette.
