What to look for in consignment?, by ooccc on Sept 14, 2022 16:44:48 GMT 1, Hello
I usually buy/sell art directly with individuals. I am in discussion with a gallery for a potential consignment and I was wondering if there is things that I should consider except the obvious such as % of the gallery. I have seen a few template agreements online but it seems a bit as an overkill as the prints in question are not crazy expensive but still important for me and my modest collection. thank you in advance

What to look for in consignment?, by Banksy Matrix on Sept 14, 2022 17:47:09 GMT 1, Do a condition report together signed by you and the consignee, so there are no arguments/discrepancies if something happens to the artwork. Also, get everything in writing and signed by both parties (such as agreements with commission, costs of logistics & framing, etc) - if it's not in writing, they'll often try to pass any extra costs on to you.
