Looking for advise on selling, by nickoct5 on Sept 25, 2022 15:41:55 GMT 1, Hi I am looking to sell on consignment with Artsy-Hebru Brantley original on canvas 40x30 in. I was told with auction of piece there would be no cost to me with selling due to price threshold and game me a reserve price of 25k and estimate range of 30-50k. Is there anything I should be looking for? Best to do auction or set price? Experiences with Artsy? Thanks in advance for your expertise and knowledge.

As you may be able to offer it on this forum and still achieve your price.

Looking for advise on selling, by rizza79 on Sept 25, 2022 17:12:26 GMT 1, in my experience, artsy will definitely take a % of the work once it is sold. they may not charge you to list it, but it will not be free.
you will have the opportunity to set a reserve if it is auction. if it is private sale, you will set the low price with them.
if you have a work that is in demand, maybe also talk to phillips, sotheby's, and christies. personally, I have had a good amount of luck with these outfits on private sales and getting an agreed upon price and all done privately.
i would be happy to answer any other questions if you wanted to DM me.
hope this was helpful.

I agree, I have had great results with the big three auction houses as well as Bonhams. The percent they take is Negotiable!

Looking for advise on selling, by klaus69 on Sept 25, 2022 18:08:09 GMT 1, There are many Auction Houses far better and experienced then Artsy. The best way would be to sell it here without any middle man...
