Yes I know but I've also seen a lot of prints sold before these periods on other editions... Not trying to encourage flipping at all but really looking for this piece. Anyway, I'm afraid second market prices won't match by budget

If the price seems high, take a look at the recent SBI auctions. A print from 2020 recently sold for $34k.

Hey, signed up for the raffle and curious if emails have been sent out - did anyone hit? And what are you thoughts about the release? Hope i get one, even though i heard it will be 6.500 euro - that seems pretty expensive for a print.

So you don't think it's because she can make a single print edition (then sell the original for $200k) and walk away with 1 million dollars?

I am not sure about that. Money plays a part I'm sure. I do think releasing prints allows her more time to make originals without constant demand from collectors for new art getting in the way.

I do think that she hopes to put more art into her actual collector's hands.

The no-resale agreements, many hot artists are so fond of these days, are making a small dent in reselling, but mostly at auctions. I was just offered Rokkaku's Print A for $56k today.

There are a few other artists like this out today. LY is fast on her heels... though LY is trying (in vain) to slow her value's fast rise.

Ayako Rokkaku auctions end at 191% over estimate on average, LY auctions end at 188% over estimate on average.

Triple their investment value after each successive auction takes place. How to decide when to sell if you're an owner? There has to be an ceiling! Doesn't there?
