Michael Dring passed away yesterday.
Mike had a huge passion for art and was a member of this forum early on.
Through the fundraising efforts of the members/artists on this forum, we were able to raise a huge amount of cash that went to the 'Get Dring Mobile' campaign. Which enabled us to buy a vehicle for Mike and have it adapted to suit his disabilities.
Mike was so grateful for all of your support, as was I.
If anyone has interest in attending his funeral, let me know via DM and I'll be in touch with the funeral details.

Im sorry to hear of the sad passing of Mike.
I didn't know Mike personally, but from all that has been mentioned about him over the many years on this forum he was well liked and as such he will be sorely missed.
Im sure he will be smiling down on you all while watching everyone drinking,eating and taking about him at his wake.
Hope it he has a fitting send off. And take care Slammer.

It's been an interesting time. I found a love of making music during lockdown and all my spare time etc, has been spent doing that.
The kids keep me plenty busy.
I went to Upfest this year and try to get out to shows, when I get time.

I never met Mike in person but bought a few pieces from him back in the day and he was always an absolute gent to deal with. He also had a genuine passion and enjoyment of the art which was rare back then and even rarer amongst the hundreds of galleries and dealers that have sprung up since.
Coincidentally, I thought of Mike just the other day as I was looking at a very sweary Max Ripo piece that I bought from him.
