I bet there are literally hundreds of members who could say.. “Banksy paid for my kitchen/car/house/vet bill” This will definitely help me , I have a degenerative neurological condition and as such working is becoming more and more difficult. This will definitely create a nice nest egg or go fingers crossed towards a deposit on a flat. It will help me look to the future with a bit more optimism. I have him to thanks for that. |

Congratulations Luckycat90, Shambles79 and all the winners selected through the draw. It was genuinely exciting for Banksy to release a new print and give everyone a chance - and for a great cause too. I'm delighted for all those who have been successful.
I've been here on and off this forum for years - although as you can tell from joining date (2011), just a little too late to know anything about limited edition signed prints (to buy a Banksy from PoW).
In the years before I remember the days people excited shared information on social media about a new Banksy popping up in Shoreditch or other streets, walls, tunnels and rubbish bins outside newsagents around London town. I spent many a good afternoon tracking them down and capturing a few whilst they were they - the more anti establishment the better. Here's an old photo of mine from Leake Street under Waterloo - I was all alone aside someone taking a sneaky wee.
Looking forward to seeing what Banksy does next in 2023 and which wall next...

I do believe though after POW stopped then the scene changed direction a little as well as the fan base. Griffitti prints step in the take up some of the market left from the departure of POW BUT there are many great new artists out there which may have had a greater exposure through POW but now they have to battle alone, using different media's and platforms just to create a small fan base.
It needs a management team or PR team in place for these new artists to come to the front and not fade away due to the big boys holding the ball for themselves.
Happy new year to all and I also believe this is the place for urban art and new artists.

But to be honest its not they easy to figure out if the fit is tight or the post Christmas bulge is to blame.
