They just happen to have got more than a warm fuzzy feeling for their donation. Does buying an instant lottery ticket and exchanging the winnings mean donating? Or does it mean to trade? Perhaps the latter is the right one. 🤔.😏

I love flippers. Sometimes I love them when I really want to buy something and missed out and sometimes I love them when they get screwed and stuck with something they overpaid for.
I am a firm believer that if you see a flipper on the street you should try to drive fast through a nearby puddle and soak him but at the same time, I dont understand why people whine on a forum.
Flipping anything (art, tickets, whatever) is almost as old os prostitution. Just the prostitutes bring something of value to the table

There are three couches visible and we can only see a portion of the room. The whole thing seems like a scam. Why would you take a photo of your $5k framed print at some weird crooked angle and why mount the print up against the bottom right corner. They've got a chaise longue, got a chaise longue, got a chaise longue All day long, they've got a chaise longue. Is your Banksy fake? Would you like us to assign someone to authenticate your Banksy? Excuse me (what?) "All the banksy finally came" I speak good English and will sell you one for £30k no returns

For what it's worth I spoke to James at Christie's about this piece and he suggested an auction estimate of GBP 80,000-120,000 (USD 100,000-150,000) as the right ballpark, if it were auctioned today with COA. The same James who doesn't hit about 70% his reserves?

Now the hype has died down a little, and the way the current market is, is the price range achievable right now? Especially with no COA for another 17 months or so 🤔

Banksy • frAGILE • Legacy of War Foundation , by Londown 01 on Jul 31, 2023 19:52:30 GMT 1, I know in itself that would be worthless. But legally, does the gallery not guarantee then that it is authentic and (that is the point!) that a PC CoA will be issued? So in case PC does not issue a CoA, a buyer could press charges against the gallery?

I don't see it being too off given the amount of detailing and hand finishing. Plus a small edition size.

Banksy • frAGILE • Legacy of War Foundation , by elvier on Dec 12, 2023 23:31:53 GMT 1, A rare (fr)AGILE print will be auctioned off in Glasgow at McTear's Auctioneers on Thursday morning. It's the first of its kind to appear on the market as it's the only known example with its Pest Control Certificate of Authenticity. It's not from the edition of 50 that was created for Ukraine – those limited edition screen prints won't be issued with certificates until next year. This one was created especially for the vendor and was gifted (along with the certificate) in August 2023. It's signed and dedicated 'Thanks Chris' (followed by a peace symbol) in red pencil. The estimate is £40,000-60,000.

No disrespect to McTears, but if 100% legit, I’m surprised it wasn’t picked up by another auction house.

Banksy has finally delivered to the Children’s Hospital auction but in an understated manner?
Same auction house and Grandad Steve was chasing up Banksy for a print around the same time the COA was produced.
This would make my year if it were the case.

Banksy • frAGILE • Legacy of War Foundation , by LJCal on Dec 13, 2023 10:14:36 GMT 1, It looks fine to me. It was made clear to all those buying that COA would not be issued for 2 years. If Banksy offered this to a helper or for services for his show as payment/part payment it would make sense that it was issued with a COA to allow them to sell if they needed the money. I am surprised at the choice of auction house but could be down to timing given most of the larger houses don't have sales until March. This is a bargain at low estimate, and probably fair value at high, I expect it will break mid estimate assuming enough people are aware. Be interested to see how it goes.
