Another rescued and restored Edward Wormley illuminated globe. This one is dated 1961, and was in really rough shape; much harder to restore than the last one I did. Lots of wood damage, the frame was in pieces, and lots of rust and pitting on the metal stands, globe guide and center mount piece. Someone tried to restore it years ago, making it even harder to return to its original form. About 12 hours from start to finish; sanding, wood repair, rust removal and restaining, and it’s almost as nice as it was 62 years ago.
