It’s a shame they were only available as sets, as I would have considered purchasing one at the show opening. NB the example print at the show was a giclee, not the actual screenprint.

Well, I don't remember any other Harland edition to be so widely available, sometimes people just get tired of failing and get something they're not 100% happy with. Plus it will surely help getting something in the future from the gallery. |

That said, I also don't understand the reasons by adding the name, and even what the image is saying? Would the images not stand alone stronger without these?
Bit like wearing a nice jumper, then having a big logo on it. People would say, 'Nice jumper Fat Lad, and I can see its Primani you flash get' therefore detracts away from the said nice jumper.
I actually really like this new direction by Mr Miller, and I hope he perseveres.

If I was after a Harland piece that AP set would be a no-brainer. There were only 5 of these and they sold out on the day of release, and yes absolute no brainier. The main edition is not a great buyer hence why it's still available and on the website, 12 months back and this would have sold out immediately for sure, |

Harland Miller didn't come up with painting penguin books, there was an Irish artist doing it in the 80s. Just like Damien Hirst didn't do the first spot painting. Nothing new under the sun as they say. TBF the dozens of charlatans jumping on the bandwagon is nauseating. |

And was there anyone even earlier?? I researched this a while back and the earliest example I could find was late 80s from Shawcross. Earliest Harland Miller book cover I could find was 97 I think. Don't know if Shawcross was the first, probably not. To be fair his book paintings were pretty crap and Miller is 10x better from a composition and commercial POV, IMHO.
