If I was after a Harland piece that AP set would be a no-brainer.

Harland Miller 3 WISHES 4 EVER, by jamo on Jan 13, 2023 14:29:50 GMT 1, I like the images and they are being screen printed by K2, who do an awesome job. It’s a shame they were only available as sets, as I would have considered purchasing one at the show opening. NB the example print at the show was a giclee, not the actual screenprint.

Harland Miller 3 WISHES 4 EVER, by Acme Thunderer on Jan 13, 2023 14:37:03 GMT 1, Reminds me of when people buy clothing with a massive logo on so people know who made it.
Would look far better without the large Harland Miller letters.

Why would you buy something you didn’t like or is this asking for investment advice? Well, I don't remember any other Harland edition to be so widely available, sometimes people just get tired of failing and get something they're not 100% happy with. Plus it will surely help getting something in the future from the gallery.

Harland Miller 3 WISHES 4 EVER, by Georgie Poppit on Jan 17, 2023 14:52:04 GMT 1, Most people like Harland for his Penguin works which is why these are still available. Unfortunately other people (avoided the word ‘artists’) have stolen his concept which is sad. Anyone bothering to go the London Art Fair will be bombarded by lots and lots of Connor Bros Penguin prints.

Harland Miller 3 WISHES 4 EVER, by John The Badgers on Jan 17, 2023 19:57:51 GMT 1, I actually really like this new direction by Mr Miller, and I hope he perseveres.
That said, I also don't understand the reasons by adding the name, and even what the image is saying? Would the images not stand alone stronger without these?
Bit like wearing a nice jumper, then having a big logo on it. People would say, 'Nice jumper Fat Lad, and I can see its Primani you flash get' therefore detracts away from the said nice jumper.

Harland Miller 3 WISHES 4 EVER, by LJCal on Jan 18, 2023 3:22:45 GMT 1, Well they've only just added the product online, I heard they sold out at the show to usual VIPs Sure, not saying they were available online for that long. If I was after a Harland piece that AP set would be a no-brainer. There were only 5 of these and they sold out on the day of release, and yes absolute no brainier. The main edition is not a great buyer hence why it's still available and on the website, 12 months back and this would have sold out immediately for sure,

Harland Miller didn't come up with painting penguin books, there was an Irish artist doing it in the 80s. Just like Damien Hirst didn't do the first spot painting. Nothing new under the sun as they say. TBF the dozens of charlatans jumping on the bandwagon is nauseating.

Neil Shawcross is the Irish artist I think (well, English but living for many years in the north of Ireland). He was definitely doing these from the early nineties, though with the real authors and titles so far as I know so not quite the same (plenty of images online). When did Miller start them? And was there anyone even earlier??

Don't know if Shawcross was the first, probably not. To be fair his book paintings were pretty crap and Miller is 10x better from a composition and commercial POV, IMHO. Here is one of his works from 1989
