Found a piece i'm after on their site which is very competitively priced and in this game, if somethings too good to be true, it nearly always is...

Then whatever you wanted will get bought by Maddox or some other dealer. I have contacted them previously and asked for authenticity information. They did not reply. That’s enough for me to advise that all people stay away. In addition to this I believe that both their Facebook page and Instagram are now gone.

There’s a piece I would like to buy and at first they replied to my query quite quickly, telling me not to worry because their in house authentication team is v expert etc etc, but once I started asking about provenance etc (for a print of such a value there for sure must have been something somewhere re: current owner’s purchase for example) and asking what happens if I buy it and take it for official certification and it fails, they have suddenly gone silent. I have tried 2-3 follow ups but nothing..

Chances are, they haven't seen the actual artwork themselves and so wont be in a position to answer any queries. Have you done a google search to try and find the actual seller? You might also like to do a search on art.co which will give you the name of dealers selling specific works of art.
