Beyond The Streets - Saatchi London, by Lroy on May 10, 2023 6:28:27 GMT 1, I think that we can thank a lot Saatchi gallery for their exhibition, big job ( as I have seen here or on social media ) , their shop of course ( waiting for the catalog , a mate from USA helped me as it was sold out at Saatchi ) and all these artists that I like because they are so so prolific, creative and singular. We cannot forget BSA and the formidable R. Gastman of course. The man.
This is not a post to lick all the protagonists of the show but just because BTS enchanted my spring this year.
no doubt, was it because the show was so close (so far :-)), we would like Paris to be on Mr. Gastman's agenda one day! the show will be ( soon ), over, this is just quโun ยซย au revoir ยป ! See you soon !
Edit : I particularly enjoyed the hommage ( and the zine ) to The New-York City rap Tour, a show where I was in 82 I think , in Paris Bataclan, where I met Fab Five Freddy , Futura and othersโฆ A shame that I lost then ma red jacket dedicated with a big tag of Fab in the back ! Thatโs life and I was young! Happy to see that this show was a legend one, years passing by ! Maybe thatโs why I feel also so concerned and happy !

Every time I went I saw something new. I went to the opening and met Martha Cooper, Fab 5, Daze and others. The London history was on point, the music fusion was well told and the essential message about rule breaking coming through solid. A great and magical exhibition indeed. The catalogue is a must-have book.
