Worth noting the acrylic brand used to paint the Cowboy is Pebeo Matt Pub and was evidently favoured by the very first street artists - I read somewhere that there was a lot of early activity in the genre in Paris in the late 70's, early 80's hence Blek Le Rat - anyone who knows of any good reference books about this would appreciate the pointers.
