They are both different mediums, this doesn’t make sense. Because it's much cheaper and faster to produce the proofs this way. Offset means you have to make separate plates for the four colours (CMYK) and then you have to use the same printer (which probably is industrial size) as for the final product and interrupt/halt other jobs, which would be extremely expensive. The inkjet proofs are easy to produce and are colour matched with the offset printer so the colours should be pretty accurate to the final result.. |
