Bast has been a fixture for over 20 years in the true sense of being an “Urban artist.”
His works are always varying but always the “quintessential” Bast feel. You can always tell which is a Bast piece similarly to being able to tell a 1983 or 1987 Jean-Michel Basquiat piece. Bast had his own feel which you saw evolve throughout his career but always reflected his stylistic flow whether painting on found wood like his Brawn piece showcasing his brushwork from 2005 or his collage work and later on his large paper formatted pieces like Bubblegum from the Allouche Gallery.
I hope we get to see more of these two great artist showcased not only above with their own search button but at more exhibits.

I had, very happily, forgotten all about the nonsense that cartrain was putting out. The scene back then really did allow for an awful lot of grifting chancers to ride coattails into making a few quid.
