Scrawl Collective - Mr Jago and China Mike , by startimeash on Mar 27, 2023 8:51:17 GMT 1, I have a Mr. Jago of a similar style and age, and when I was trying to get a valuation for insurance purposes I spoke to a guy called Max at Unit London. The feedback I had was that valuation would be difficult as his work has evolved so much and collectors seem to be after the newer style. I think Unit would be a good place to start, but you may struggle to sell, and you are not likely to get a price comparable to one of his newer pieces of the same size. Auction may be an option, but again, you may have difficulty. Would definitely recommend a top tier auction house if you do sell, so they can generate some significant interest. I love my piece, and I think yours are fantastic and even better. Just be prepared for a bit of a slog. That said, someone on here may give you an offer you can’t refuse!

@lroy I'm not sure about Cheba as only know of China Mike but you could well be right! They do need a new home - they've been much loved by me.

Sent some pics and he sent back his thoughts. His style has changed so much over the years, but I really like these old works. |
