Firstly - I actually really like them. I've liked nearly everything I 'created' on the site and will happily put it on the wall.
Secondly - It's different, new and controversial. And it well could be the first of a new way for mass-producing art. I can imagine other artists out there having word with their web designers next week, seeking to take this forward .
Thirdly, I'm not a flipper and not looking to sell anytime soon. Just building a collection and this is a great conversation piece.
So, after much back and forth, I decided to go for it.

Some of these on a large canvas will quite frankly look horrendous and far too busy on a small canvas.
Iโm still 50:50 whether to get one, but seeing what others have produced is gradually putting me off as they may have a detrimental effect on the long term desirability of the project.
I will sleep on it and see if I will buy one of my designs in the morning as the deadline is 9am GMT on Tuesday.

To save on an iPad, hold the image until this menu appears and then save photo (I purposely created a horrible spin for this).

I saved a higher resolution version โbeforeโ adding to the basket. Once in the basket they ainโt much you can do as they are low res and pixelated. I That crossed my mind too. I think the signature on a rotated canvas is okay, although I would prefer it at the bottom with the design in the vertical position. I know in Damien Hirst's big book the spin paintings rotate, I think in one of his shows a giant Spin canvas rotated too. |

I have tried a lot of variations and so far the fully random ones have looked better. I am still undecided aswell, but have added my favourites to the cart

I agree it looks unnatural like the majority of the spin options which is why it isnโt being bought. However, after a while I started to like the more uniform โpaintingsโ as they are computer generated / new generation. Thank you for your feedback though. |
