$250 per plate
The purchase of just one plate can feed more than 100 homeless and hungry individuals.
Launched by the Coalition for the Homeless in 2020 at the peak of the pandemic, the Artist Plate Project has to-date partnered with more than 98 world-renowned artists who have
created limited-edition dinner plates produced by
Prospect and available via Artware Editions.
The funds raised by the sale of plates will provide food, crisis services, housing, and other critical aid to thousands of people experiencing homelessness and housing instability.

Well the vase isnโt Banksy - but if we are doing non Banksy then itโs Kaws Figurine in the bedroom to watch one cry oneโs self to sleep.

Of course those things are of a different league than paying $250 for a plate, but the money still ends up in the hands of people that need it. I'm assuming that you also object to multiple threads over the years that mcgill has done promoting his charity auctions? Same principle - people are getting something and the charity is getting money. God forbid that both sides should be happy!
Either people shouldn't get excited because they are liking plates and stamps and skateboards and mugs and not "proper" art, or they should hang their heads in shame for buying something for charity when instead they should be wearing a hair shirt and tithing their salary in silence. How about you send them $250 and bask in the glow of being a better person than people getting excited about plates. Which, by the way, IS THE WHOLE F*CKING REASON THE CHARITY DOES THIS! People get excited. People buy plates. Charity gets money. I'm really struggling to see what the issue is? Yes, a whole bunch will likely get resold, but do you honestly think they have not factored that in? It's all advertising for next year.
