I would like to share my Kickstarter project, All spruced up with nowhere to go. 



I’m Aaron Coe and I am a documentary photographer living and working in London. While walking around my area in South East London at the end of December 2020, I realised just how many Christmas trees are left abandoned on the streets and at recycling points, each with their own specifics, and came up with the idea of turning this into a photography project. Fast forward to 2022, I started taking photos of all the Christmas trees I came across and ended up with a really diverse set of images. Although my focus is not on a specific meaning, there was one thing I did notice – the wealthier the area, the bigger the trees. It seems it could be used as a primitive way to measure wealth, somewhat similar to The Big Mac index invented by The Economist.

My project’s aim is to turn my Christmas tree photography into a zine, and I hope this platform will help engage with people with what is a silly little idea of mine. All the photos have been taken between December 2022 and March 2023.



There are several price options which include the zine, postcards and signed prints, which range from £3 up to £50 which would be the zine and a signed and numbered A4 print.
