2) The Martin Whatson "Toucan" is a beautiful, all hand tagged, unique print. Have the COA. Looking for around $4500.

Leaving aside my dismissive views of the artist's work, and provided the Martin Whatson Facebook group warnings about "Todd" do relate to tschotts, then those warnings should certainly be borne in mind.
Regardless of the caveat emptor principle all buyers must heed, art sellers with integrity will be upfront about issues an average buyer wants to know about before proceeding with a purchase.
That will typically relate to matters including:
- provenance;
- possible authenticity concerns;
- condition (with the seller specifically pointing out areas of damage); and
- any restoration work carried out (whether minor restoration such as the flattening of a print, or more serious repairs).
Silence from a seller, or any other failure to be forthcoming and candid in the full disclosure of such matters, must be a viewed as a red flag.
It is evidence — pointing to dishonest intent; of an aim to deceive; and of a disreputable character.
This in itself will also call into question the truthfulness of any information the seller actually has volunteered to potential buyers.

I know 100% it is the same person and was kind of expecting them to pop up at some point on UAA once their other options were closed off. Anyone else on the Whatson Facebook group can read the other comments made about this seller.

I have been buying, selling, and trading different art for 5 years. I would love to have a single person come forward and say that I have done them wrong. We had one print smashed by USPS... we came to an agreement with that buyer who chose to keep the "damaged" print and sent 2 others that more than compensated them. Another who just had buyers remorse and made a huge deal about a scuff, that was not really there. He was fully refunded once he shipped the print back. I stand behind my sales 110%. I have sold literally hundreds of art prints, panels, and Acrylic pieces across the globe. I plenty of references and encourage PayPal Goods and Services or any other way you wish to protect your purchase.
So ridiculous. Haters gonna hate. Even those bad situations I outlined above, we offered refunds or different prints to remedy the situation. Would love 1 person.... 1.... to show proof of having a had a bad transaction with me.
Fuck you Doug Heck, David Shows, and any other haters from that Whatson group who have been riding my ass for years. They put a magnifying glass to every post or comment I have ever made. Again, my track record of positive transactions should speak for itself.

Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with these two prints, but it's a great time to come clean of they have been restored. Whatson and his management don't love Doug since he dropped his whole MW collection on heritage las year without warning. Hope this helps!

All to say, I can't speak to the quality of these particular prints but there's a lot of "smoke" out there from a bunch of independent/non-correlated sources for there to be zero "fire" with this guy. Proceed with caution.

I dont think Whatson mgmt should be complaining about anyone flooding the market. I doubt they are. That would be like water being mad at rain.
