Pippy I went this morning to the left of the building if your facing it is the queue for walk ins it wasn’t busy from what I could see, It looked like they have sold a allocated amount of tickets for the selected times but haven’t over filled them to allow walk ins. This is day one and there was no mad rush or big walk in queues. Maybe ring the gallery to confirm but I don’t think you will have an issue just turning up, especially early. It’s worth the visit it was a fantastic show!

Arrived at 9:45 and got inside at 10, you get taken to a desk and asked what time suits you I asked for the first available which was 12….nice and easy process. Definitely worth a second view if you have the chance I noticed pieces I had missed first time round. I picked up another book, bag and poster set if anyone wants a trade? |

Anyway I know a great one too stenciling in Scotland, could be him or other locals, or other stencilists, there are so many great ones in Uk ( Trust Icon, NME urbanart - Nigel, T-Watt, John d’Oh, John Green, John Courage, hips, AP - Agent Provocateur/apheadquarters - ,
etc etc …
But as said previously for Banksy, I don’t see a lot trying to pass/paint a political message ( the loyalists )…

Maybe Outis did it hmmm I thought to JPS too ( not at all Silent Bill nor the other ones ) , because his rat looks like the Taunton Rat ( see the picture … an old story to dont tell as this stencil of the rat made a lot of “ waves “ ) and some other rats too. He's obviously annoyed they are touring the world and using his name, so is this the start of an official one, that will relocate to the new city every few months? I suspect they wouldn't announce that as a plan now as they would want to wait and see the response of the Glasgow show first. Nah, doubt it. By doing that it would show that they are irksome. Doing his own thing regardless of what other people try and do shows conviction of his standing and self appreciation. He said it made sense to do the show here because he thinks the statue with the cone on its head is his favourite piece of sculpture. Can't see that narrative being used elsewhere! I bet my poster/tote/book set it doesn't tour.

As for Dislamaland at WSM Banksy likes singular and quiet places to make the show.
He needs "space" ( next exhibition over the moon ). Over.

I hate going anywhere that has a huge list of rules and restrictions, I can't understand Banksy's thinking behind the no photos rule as everyone knows that in the modern world publicity comes from the public taking and sharing photos. I believe that a no photo policy at any art exhibition is a great idea. It encourages people to appreciate the art and be present in the moment, instead of worrying about getting the perfect shot for Instagram and potentially blocking other people from enjoying the show. It's important to remember that an exhibition is not just about taking photos, but rather about experiencing the art and getting lost in the artist's vision. By not allowing photography, you can fully appreciate the art without any distractions. Cheers!

In recent years it's become all about control 😔 with websites dominated by pages listing rules, what you can and can't do, what laws apply. I really can't understand what direction they think they are going?
