Cut and Run Charity Selection , by minibear on Jun 21, 2023 16:48:51 GMT 1, I've been lucky enough to get one of my Scottish cousins to visit the show on my behalf today and grab a couple of books, totes and poster sets. 1 of these complete sets I will be selling to a lucky Forumite at cost price (entry ticket + items + shipping + any fees).
As I've enjoyed seeing on this forum, gaining entry to a competition via a confirmed charity donation I think is a good way to get this done. To that end, with me having limited knowledge of needy causes north of the border, I'm asking the forum which charities or organisations do we feel would be best to support here. I'll start another thread for the actual give-away once a charity has been decided on.
Does anyone have some input to help me figure out which charity to use for this?

I would like to vote for Refugee Council. They offer support to all unaccompanied refugee children who arrive alone seeking safety in England.

Cut and Run Charity Selection , by John The Badgers on Jun 21, 2023 20:22:01 GMT 1, Surely has to be towards McGill14's efforts for The Children's Hospital in Glasgow Minibear? -

His endeavours over the last couple of years have been quite something, worth looking at the related threads.
I for one certainly applaud your gesture, and this would definitely be a very worthy cause.

Cut and Run Charity Selection , by minibear on Jun 21, 2023 23:02:09 GMT 1, I did think about this one, and it would become the selected cause if nothing else Scottish comes up. I like the idea of a smaller niche Scottish cause that could benefit more from the injection of support. McGill has done outstanding stuff for the hospital, this would simply pale in comparison.
