New Ai Weiwei exhibition in the Netherlands, from what is written in the info on the museum's website it would appear to be a collaborative exhibition with the Albertina Museum in Vienna where there was a major exhibition dedicated to the Chinese artist last summer.
I am curious, since it seems to me that Avantarte is Dutch, if there are plans to release limited editions.

Putting pressure on the purchaser by reminding them it has a waiting list is a cheap move too. People bought the orange frosted vase not this boiled sweet version. Obviously less money to produce this one, I donโt buy the Ai Weiwei changed the design BS.

Avant Arte seem to be focussing more on profit these days (timed editions etc) so maybe this version will be cheaper to produce. It looks cheaper.

I think they should have simply brought out two different versions; one orange and one red. More people would have had the opportunity to buy one and they would have still sold out.

It's not a perfect situation but I guess if one really doesn't like it, then refund is available. I still hope for a ceramic version of it. |
