This looks like one of those pictures you have to stare at to see the scuba diver. Looks Terrible IMO.

I was thinking same, this would have been so much better with a Minimalistic approach, maybe a lighter gray background and some well placed graffiti tags on the scuba tank. Could have been hung vertical or horizontal and been easy on the eyes aesthetically. This looks like one of those pictures you have to stare at to see the scuba diver. Looks Terrible IMO. |

It’s just an average stencil image plonked on top of a tagged background. We’ve seen how many Rock Climber prints (similar concept) that people have offloaded after that release and this will go the same way.

Sounds like they are not getting as many people apply as before. Even the flippers are realising this is not worth it.

Even the flippers are realising this is not worth it. Think it might have more to do with the discrepancy in the original email, which said that the deadline was Tuesday 12th July. The problem being that Tuesday was the 11th of July... So it's not so much an extension as a clarification. |

The price of this release is too high and there is too many variations. I don't care what anyone says, most people buy art in the hope the value does not go down, therefore people are looking at this and thinking it is poor value for a new release. Flippers cannot flip this for a worthwhile profit, so it will be sold to a few die hard MW fans who want a bit of all he has. The wider market at this price point is not there, hence the extension to register. I think inflated print prices are at an end and publishers need to rethink strategy or the artists will go from stagnate to decline.

If this is true everyone who has put their name down for one will be offered one. We shall find out soon enough I suppose. I agree it’s priced too high but this is only happened because of people flipping every other release. Just rising in accordance with the market. Times are hard at the minute with a lot of spare cash being eaten up by interest rates. Prints in general are way over priced and always have been. Might put my name down just to test your theory.. |

You have to be completely out of touch to believe MW went from nearly impossible to score on a lottery to, not being able to sell out his stuff.. in what, months? Lol. As usual, a very high % will swing and miss at this.

I'd love a MW, although I think the most recent releases are a little lazy. I thought the earlier work was much more interesting. I suppose it doesn't help with the living crisis and high price points either.
