It looks like there will be โopen editionโ giclee prints of classic prints (including NEISBAW - Not Everything Is So Black And White) at affordable prices. Will be interesting to see the sizes and prices available.
Like many others on the forum, I really like Lee/Eelus and wish him all the best for the future. Heโs produced some influential screen prints in the early stages of his career (before it went downhill after working with Art Republic) so Iโm glad to see them available in the new affordable formats.

Isnโt the point of a limited edition print meant to be that itโs limited to a set amount and thatโs it? If I owned one of the earlier said โclassicsโ prints Iโm not sure Iโd be over the moon that it is now being sold again as an open edition regardless of a format change. Screen print, lenticular, Giclee/photocopy.. What next snow globes?

It looks like these giclee editions will be different and as someone who owns a โclassicโ it doesnโt bother me at all.

I used to think like that and concerned it may affect the value, but I realise it can also help increase the desirability of people wanting to own the original. It looks like these giclee editions will be different and as someone who owns a โclassicโ it doesnโt bother me at all. There will also be postcards. |

I noticed that they are packaged flat and delivery is free for UK orders over ยฃ150 (or free for ยฃ400 overseas).

He has changed artistic direction over the last few years (albeit, not to my taste) and definitely not run out of ideas.
If anything he is one of the more original artists out there who does not copy others.

These obviously 100% less desirable than the original screen prints imo.
As someone who already owns ATR and NEISBW I could care less about these. Stoked I can get a set of these for cheap for there rooms.

Nobody cares about those and they don't impact print prices or desirability. These obviously 100% less desirable than the original screen prints imo. Supporting the artist and putting money into their pocket, rather than an ebay reseller selling an old print that's possibly been sold multiple times over.
I certainly wouldn't say these new releases mean he's run out of ideas. Maybe more a case of why shouldn't he get to make money from the classic images he's created? We all need to eat.
Eelus has always been super lovely whenever we've interacted, and I wish him nothing but good things.

Despite the risk of losing originality (e.g. a template website in pastel colors) and some high-end buyers, many others will follow and buy. I followed Eelus and Pure Evil many years ago for these dark art and subjects, I will miss this for sure.
