Were some of the more recent Banksy print releases issued with a COA from Pest Control 'as standard' when they purchased the print? I know for "older" releases, an application to PC was necessary to obtain and COA.
Some auctions talk about a lot as "This lot was previously accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued before 2020. In accordance with Pest Control Office regulations an updated certificate is due to be issued. Please note that the timing of Pest Control Officeโs processes is outside of Sothebyโs control."
Is this pre-2020 the one issued at purchase and why would an update be required (unless this is to update the details of the owners once the print is sold)? Thanks.
