whilst not cheap his prints are always insane quality and as an "up and comer" whos had some incredible shows and is held by some great colllections, some of the tat thats for sale makes these look like good value

I think itโs safe to assume that out-of-season sales from the beginning of this year are higher than most in-season, current sales:

Assume that youโre throwing $2k into the trash by buying it. (This generalization is based solely on sales at Phillips as Iโm too busy to look up sales at other houses)

The first auction was a benefit, and two years ago, the results of which should always be ignored as theyโre always outliers in the positive range. The second was over a year ago, and we all know how different things were then. I would never want to generalize from a single data point, but unfortunately thatโs all we have in terms of recency. Only buy if you want to hold it for several years. |

Only buy if you want to hold it for several years. That's fair, but the second result was only 3 months prior to the DADA result - so not light years away. Agree on the long term prospect. My opinion is Pendleton is doing it right and is here for the long run. |
