Additional details would have been helpful.
Transparency has some clear disadvantages for sellers. But it should, on balance and in relative terms, be viewed as a strength. An objective worth aspiring to, and at times even achieving.
Because the perception of transparency will enhance confidence. Deals are more likely to close if potential buyers are less worried about being screwed over.
Reputation in the art world is everything. So much so that the statement itself has become a cliché.
And when a seller starts to become known for withholding key information, or otherwise behaving in a dodgy manner, they become tainted as a result.
That isn't good. At least not if they're looking to build trust and make a few sales.
__________
Although the Parra giclée, The One That Got Away, was first issued by Exhibition A in 2012, a batch of these prints (that had initially been held back by the retailer) was released around September 2023 — for US $250.00 apiece.
For buyers in the UK, the source price has since gone up to £348.00.
But that is still significantly less than €585.00 (approx. £503.67 as at today's exchange rate).
In case anyone here covets the print, the discount code FDVR4NZH will apparently give you a further 10% off until Thursday evening.
That comes to around £313.00.
Good luck to those interested.

Sold, by met on Dec 13, 2023 13:52:02 GMT 1, To the resellers on this message board, I propose the following Miss Manners or Professor Protocol‑style suggestion:
Guideline for Forum Resellers
1. Prior to starting a for‑sale thread in connection with a multiple you wish to offload, carry out a basic Google search for the item.
The onus is on you.
2. If that item is available elsewhere, and especially if it still remains available at source, resist offering it here for a higher all‑inclusive price.
Because that would arguably be parasitic.
It would be an attempt to rip off your fellow members — by exploiting their ignorance, their gullibility, and/or their good‑faith willingness to assume we are all decent human beings.
3. And even if price gouging would be an honest expression of the contempt you genuinely feel towards others on the Urban Art Association, try nevertheless to refrain.
Such behaviour only contributes to a toxic environment, which is unpleasant for everyone. And also unnecessary.
[Side note to members:
It is of course the chancers themselves who are responsible for any related toxicity on the forum.
This, as opposed to the individuals willing to step up by calling foul when appropriate — and doing so publicly, for the benefit of the wider community.
Let us therefore avoid any confusion about who the legitimate targets are (perhaps also keeping in mind that a parasite, once exposed, will quite often play the aggrieved victim).]
4. Now, granted, some resellers may feel an uncontrollable need to behave like chancers with their pricing.
And if so, then please spare us, by using eBay instead. Or third‑tier auction houses.
That would seem a reasonable compromise for all parties.
