INVADER KIT 13 - "Made in Japan" - Framing, by wegotthefunk on Dec 25, 2023 12:15:26 GMT 1, Hello,
I've been following this forum for quite a while but I've never posted a message (sorry in advance for my English, I'm French ). First of all I would like to thank all the contributors who share their passion on this forum.
I have just bought an INVADER 13 "Japan" kit which I have not yet received. I'm wondering whether to frame it or put it in a Plexiglas box. Do you have any feedback (ideally with photos to see how it looks). I'm thinking of a Plexiglas box but I'm open to suggestions. And if any of you have an address to recommend in Paris.
The Kit is still in its original packagin. Any advice on how to open it so as not to damage the blister envelope (signed)?
Thank you for your advice. Best regards,

It looses 20% of its value and people prefer to buy them unopened. Frame it with the plastic bag...

INVADER KIT 13 - "Made in Japan" - Framing, by Monkey on Dec 25, 2023 13:06:55 GMT 1,
That should help, kept all mine in Plexi except ik05 which is American boxed Cutter the top of the antistatic shield and film yourself while doing it. Also film in the same video the mosaic in close lookup, recto and verso: it'll have tiny imperfections in the layout, the tiles symmetry which will make it recognizable. You can see some in the kit pictured above It'll help make provenance if you ever decide to sell it Value of those are indexed on how strong your provenance is. It'll be a shame not to display it properly imho as you now find as many fake closed kits than opened ones (signed or not).

INVADER KIT 13 - "Made in Japan" - Framing, by wegotthefunk on Dec 25, 2023 14:16:12 GMT 1, Thank you for your prompt replies.
I didn't buy it to resell ... at least not for a few years. I think it would be a shame to put it on the wall packed Thanks for the advice though. I don't mind if it loses value as soon as it's opened. Although I hope it will regain value after a few years
I bought it at auction in France so I do hope it's genuine ... but I'm aware that there are a lot of fakes in circulation.
And thanks for the photo. The result with the Plexiglas box is great!
If any of you have an address to buy the Plexiglas in Paris, I'd love to hear from you.
Happy holidays to you all!

INVADER KIT 13 - "Made in Japan" - Framing, by Monkey on Dec 25, 2023 15:55:50 GMT 1, I'd recommend atelier Selim if you're looking for the same box than the picture. Usually around 4-500โฌ www.atelier-selim.fr/
Else you can build a low cost version by buying precut Plexi on the web
