KAWS 1999 brown 1st Companion (no open edition of this OG), by maseo7 on Jan 5, 2024 23:35:35 GMT 1, This is the first companion from 1999 and the best one in my opinion. It is the original brown colorway and the box is a piece of art too - and this may NOT be reissued like the recent open editions since it was a collaboration with Bounty Hunter x Real Mad Hectic and NOT with Medicom. Truly a classic. Hand painted rotocast vinyl and the baby of the bunch so all those heads out there who might have a nice collection BUT donโt have the first one that set it off, this is your chance so donโt sleep.This companion mostly resembles Mickey with an OG stance not like all the others. This is like a rookie card (that has no open editions) rare as henโs teeth especially in mint condition with the original box from 25 years ago. It has been kept in a handsome Restoration Hardware french cloche which I can include with anyone wanting to purchase this here in NYC. Please message me if you are interested in pics. I am open to reasonable offers since I got bills to pay and you know how that goes. Thanks for looking and happy new year!!

Trust me, no one who collected Kaws back then thought the 4 foot Companion would be worth over a 100K because rich people chasing the cool want them in their mansions while the initial fans live in tiny NYC and Tokyo apartments with no space for them. That being said, the uber rich will pay top dollar for the FIRST one that set it off to complete their collections.
