I wonder if Hirst cares. By the looks of Instagram my dude has an expensive lifestyle to fund and people keep lapping it up. To me, the real art is how he's managed to extend and transform his practice from cutting edge to an expensive TK Max store. I mean, if we view the mass production of art at overvalued prices he is unmatched and a total master. People are willing to accept and pay top dollar for subpar, art group, charity shop level work because it has his signature. It's now a confidence game and ponzy scheme.

The thing about Hirst that I find odd is why he is doing this? He hardly needs the money. How many millions (billions?) does somebody need in their bank account?

He used to be a great artist but now he is simply churning out crap. Doesn't he care about his reputation or his legacy when he is dead and gone? It seems the answer is a resounding 'no'.

I see his earlier work, (Away from the Flock; A Thousand Years; The impossibility of Death; butterflies trapped in gloopy paint). What happened to that artist?

The profundity, the daring, the ambition, the thoughtfulness. It's gone. It's all gone.

Quite like some of them. It’s a niche, reckon more artists will paint gardens soon.

I think these are a nice splash of colour and will hold their value, at least, because they are so inoffensive. But my wife has said she doesn't want me buying any more Dibond mounted giclée prints. Oh well.

This release is hilarious. Performance art. Mid-level, TK Max, Marshall's, Home Sense or even WalMart level art. However the hustle is absolutely huge. I love the performance and hubris,  "Look at this sh!t art I made!". I also love the absolute genius and craft in grooming a bunch of middle-aged men to open their wallets to this stuff. Absolutely brilliant.

I laughed at his comment on the post. “It never ends, like they say in Japan - when the art is finished you die”. I guess we can expect a few more thousand shiny dibond prints more

Heni obviously read these threads... Why dont they get the message... nobody wants any more gloss dibonds.

If heni wanted to make more $ they should print on good old fashioned paper... surely its a cheaper method of repro, cheaper p+p and Im certain more people would buy it.
