Well, when all the nespapers ( I did not took links from the Daily Sun nor Murror are saying the same thing, rumor is true. Plus, we all know Banksy s  love for Glastonbury Festival etc etc … The inside looks like a mini Walled off hotel, with local artists artworks. So, why not ? Then, everybody believes what he wants …

Anyway most of the times ( despite the fact that all west country pinces and princess are staying quiet and shut the doors to rumor  and gossip, respecting the secrecy and the man ), we have to reckon that a lot are not too much exaggerated and are near reality : while, per example, some were saying that IA in London was from him and it has never been confirmed )..,,
i will go to this pub and drink a Banksy cocktail in memory of all these entertaining and exciting - real or fake - informations ! Vive le Banksy ! :-)

Spilling hot beans on someone in a pub can have somewhat disastrous results.

Thanks to Sam Am's thread & great pictures, I finally visited lovely Pilton and the Glastonbury area. After attending the Massive Attack gig on Clifton Downs and enjoying the whole mini festival vibe, it was no big leap to end up staying at 'The Crown' for a few nights. I mean, a beautifully appointed room above the pub for a long weekend, with 'open mike' and friendly staff and locals that embrace talking to a complete stranger (wouldn't get that in some places in Dorset, where they don't talk to 'newbies' for years), it didn't take much to persuade me!

And what a lovely place to stay, in a peaceful corner of the West Country (at least it was post Glasto!), with excellent beers & ciders on tap, great-tasting food (including meat-free options, even with all the trimmings of) a Sunday roast, a big pub garden with kids' play area in a far corner and a car-park at the rear. What more do you want.

A kind local even took me on a 2 1/2-hour extended ramble around Worthy Farm and most of the Glastonbury festival site area, before heading back to the pub for lunch. All in all, it is definitely well worth a visit and you'll find a beautiful jewel in The Crown!

Many years ago I had a promotion and moved job from Wales to cover Bath to Plymouth. Some lovely villages and towns like pilton, use to love driving around these places. Will have to pop into the pub for a pint next time we are back in the UK.
