Possibilities with my Banksy's, by Leap on Feb 21, 2024 1:19:09 GMT 1, So, I am hoping not to sell, but I have to now consider the very real prospect of needing to if things go wrong with my job in the next couple of months.
I've got a fair few prints DOLK, EELUS, Faile, Obey etc. But to be fair the one's I feel would balance things the easiest is my Banksy's. I'm still thinking, my GF says yes. So I am interested in getting a vibe for how much these could be worth.
What I have.
Banksy Flags, professionally framed, unsigned, numbered, COA PC
Banksy WSM, professionally framed, unsigned, numbered, COA PC
Banksy Tescos Soup Can poster from POW framed
Banksy Tesco Value Petrol Bomb, unframed.
I've got some Banksy Green peace items and Dismaland too but figured potentially selling one or both of the two framed COA.

Posters not sure but guess £700-1000 depending on condition and provenance. If you can avoid selling I would, at least for a year or two, cheaper unsigned prints are really a tough sell right now. I think the market could be turning a corner, albeit there's still plenty of potential macro economic headwinds and market specific concerns, which could snub out a meaningful recovery. For what it's worth and If I had to guess I'd say values will be 20-40% higher in two years, assuming inflation and interest rates come down in line with current forecasts and nothing abnormally +ve/-ve impacts his market.
Health warning - Obviously like any forecast that spans years into the future this has a high potential to be wrong.

Possibilities with my Banksy's, by Deleted on Feb 21, 2024 6:40:24 GMT 1, If you need to sell the coa'd Banksys , sell 1 and keep 1(unless you need to sell both), if you think it will be hard for you to get back on the Banksy train in the future.
The market crashed fast, the regrowth is likely to be much longer and slower(although with B nobody really knows, its not as predictable as the conventional art market, he's very capable of creating instant sudden swings at any time).
These are print images you shouldn't have too much difficulty picking up again. If they were very low editions/hard to find, replacing them in future will likely be difficult as the collector base grows(assumption made). I feel at this stage and price point,the rarities and most sought after prints will remain in more permanent collections than being bought to resell in the shorter term(1-5 years).
The flags will be an easier sell so if you think selling is going to be likely, maybe start now with the WSM so you're not in a position of having to take a potentially low price for a quick sale and if you get in a position you need some money quickly the flags will be easier to find a home imo. Obv if you prefer WSM move the flags first, I'm biased because I love the flags print/image.
