Yes, a great work in the classic HM style. sEaSoNaLiTy Fall is demonstrably the best time to sell, but Spring is a close second, so seasonality is not a main driver here. Those are the poor market and an image which never should have seen the light of day. |

Everyone selling / no one buying = disaster To be honest i think spring auctions faired better than I was expecting. I bid on probably 30 lots in last few weeks at low to mid estimates a few over high but only bought a couple of pieces. Definitely private sales are hurting but demand is there you just need to offer collectors value and service which hasn't been the case for the last 15 years. This will definitely separate the men from the boys in terms of artists, collectors and galleries. Expect a much thinner herd when things start picking back up. |
