Oh man, you've just completely ruined it for me.
Hadn't realised that Pejac himself claims that this is an "attempt" at democratising a release. What fu***ng hypocrisy. Pre-selling the affordable ones to wealthy collectors and then charge 600-3600.- Euro for what is basically a photo-printout of an unfinished work.
They're making close to 2 million from this, so there would have been a few nice and easy ways to making this more "democratic".

But Pejac aslo claims This ยซdemocraticยป release is a way for fans supporting him but not being able to get a work in the past to get a print. It is a very very bad release in so many ways. What it is: Just a poor mass production release. |

An oppertunity for what? I think you get less than what you pay for all the way through x/1000. You get an unfinished, fragmented image almost all the way. Its a high quality limited edition poster. Not a quality print from Pejac like he used to make. |

I can now see AA sold 10 prints for Pejac in 2019 and the rest (90) he self-released, which is probably why itโs not on the AA website. Anyway, wonโt be long to wait for the next timed release. |

Iโll try to get the cheap one, but Iโm afraid my options are low. Iโll try anyway.
The imageโฆ weak? Not in my opinion, it comes from one of his greatest urban pieces. Having just a few little persons is shit? Not if you know that it is part of the creation of the whole artwork, the evolution to get there. You only get a crowd with lots of People approaching.

This isn't the market to throw your money away on a print edition from a street artist where 999 other people have the same sort of printout. The fervor is baffling.

I love it aswell! Everything about it, I think its a stroke of genious actually. Ive set my mind on a couple of prints, who knows if I'll ever be able to get the exact ones, but surely will try. Going for 8 prints - bought presale.

I would love to have the triptych but unfortunately I donโt have the funds to get it. Iโll try to get the cheap one, but Iโm afraid my options are low. Iโll try anyway. The imageโฆ weak? Not in my opinion, it comes from one of his greatest urban pieces. Having just a few little persons is shit? Not if you know that it is part of the creation of the whole artwork, the evolution to get there. You only get a crowd with lots of People approaching. You make not like it, no problem, donโt go for it. But Iโm surprised by the amount of haters that are here talking shit about Pejac no matter what he does If anybody on here gets the one with 3 people on it
Just going with the concept of this release, print #1 should actually be a blank canvas, no!?

Not directed towards the post above in particular, but I'm baffled by the amount of posts who got something wrong, mixed up, incorrect info etc. I mean, sure, the concept of the release is a little different/innovative and the release info was a 3 minute read instead of the usual 20 secs, but still, the attention some people have seemingly put towards the drop info highlights how little they actually cared and combined with the hate and exaggeratedly negative critics I'm reading, I can't help but think they're correlated. Can't take too many of these seriously.

To me, the most interesting thing about this release is the fact that the prints capture/ trace the creation of the original. When #1 is not the blank canvas, and #1000 is not the complete painting, then the print series feels somewhat incomplete. Again, not saying it must be this way, but it could have been a route the artist could have chosen.

You could think of this series of 1,000 prints as epitomising that concept. |
