AA has clearly stated that gold-leafing on this requires an 'expert' and that Pejac has been 'supervising' the process. This obviously means that Pejac has NOT done the gold-leaf himself. It doesn't need any further clarification.
Only a small percentage of their customer base will be on UAA (even if they have the courtesy to reply).

Its not good regarding the quality you get or secondary value. Its different, but not good by any standards an art collector should have imo. Its just sad really.

AA is not the printmaker, and not the ones Pejac is collaborating with. The collaboration is between Pejac and Make Ready (London), with AA as the publisher/ distributor.

Maybe you were confused about the gold leaf HOPE, only applied to the last 125.
"In the earliest editions the crevice is yet to form. Instead, there is room for contemplation around isolated figures. As more are added their stories become more complex and interconnected. In each print a single figure is highlighted in 24 carat gold leaf, applied by hand. Once the crowd reaches critical mass in the final 125 prints, the word ‘HOPE’ appears, also applied by hand in gold, towards the lower right corner of the artwork."

AA have already pre-sold 100 of 1-125 as part of the triptych (groups 1, 4 and 8) and pre-sold 5 full sets of all 8 groups.
This quote from Pejac is completely misleading as they are not making them as accessible to everyone as they have pre-sold 105 of the 125 cheapest version to those who can afford €4,350 for the triptych.
What they should have done is use groups 2, 5 and 8 for the triptych @ €5,050 (as these are the collectors who can afford it) then this would have left 120 of the €150 prints for those who can’t afford to pay €500 or more.
