Does anyone know which figure is being turned into gold? Is it different for each print? Or is it the same person for each batch?

The triptych was only sold as pre-sale.  You can't buy a triptych when they go on general release.  You have to take your chance at buying individual ones.

410gsm...usually quite sturdy cardstock but this may be a little too soft for artygarfunkle's crevice...I'm assuming for all his crying he likes something a little (or a lot) rougher.

And as for quality prints, isn't Avant Arte's print house (Make-Ready) the same printer that made the Condo prints that everyone said were so beautiful?  So Pejac's will not be quality prints from them, but Condo's were quality prints.  Just trying to gauge everyone's critiques before actually seeing the final results.

I've decided I quite like this gimmicky little project by Pejac. I also think that the multiple editions is actually a better presentation than the weaker/somewhat ambiguous "final" image.

We start with some folks doing their own thing...happy enough...then we add more people, there are interactions, they seem to be getting along...could even forming a line and maybe heading somewhere united and together...wait, scratch that, the line has actually turned into a crevice (society, social media, this forum, lack of social "distance") and the interactions are just a jumbled mess...it appears the ones that have managed to avoid the pitfalls of the crevice are happiest and have the most meaningful interactions...

A triptych that shows the evolution - individuals, group/line, crevice - nice piece.

I've been going back and forth with this release. I was leaning towards getting one of the earlier releases because I liked the minimalism, but I actually don't think they will work as stand alone pieces, especially with the knowledge of how the "final" piece looks. For a stand alone piece if feels like the earliest edition that will work is 626-750....

What do you guys reckon?

Sure. Nice concept as a triptych. As standalone individual images, the majority are weak. The strongest, which are an edition of 1000 are ok-conceptually interesting but bland and very expensive.

Well, explaining, contextualising etc. are an essential part of most artistic products from the 20th century onwards. That is not a bad thing. 
And Pejac would surely say that all the prints, even those with only a handful of figures, work perfectly well as standalone pieces: after all, they are leased as just that. 

Fair enough though if you find them visually unappealing!

Probably less than 30sec before they sell out

If a group doesn't sell out before the next one drops, they intend to close the previous one right before the next one becomes available. I don't think that was discussed. It brings a couple of questions up.. like what would they do with the unsold ones? Would they become available again at another time down the road? Why removing them in the first place? Apparently, they're not that confident about a complete sell out, if they had to think through what to do if a group doesn't sell out before the next one drops..
