Get the impression very few were available here. Poor

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Yabadabdo on Jul 15, 2024 10:11:31 GMT 1, Really not sure if I'm going for any more. The more complete are too expensive, the 2nd and 3rd are ok price wise but with so little of picture not sure it's worth the price point either. I'd have prefered the whole 1000 with full image at £1000-£1200 range. I applaud the attempt of something different, but the pricing is all wrong for part of the picture. Drop one is the only cheap/value edition. Had I got it I was going to go for drop 2 poss 3 but not sure it's worth one as a stand alone.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by whob1 on Jul 15, 2024 10:12:01 GMT 1, This release was not according to Pejac`s statement. With so many pre-sales, its not "democratising", the boss selected. And it was about given others a chance, not pri Pejac collectors. Only way here was to release all editions online.
"I felt that now was the time to do something completely different. With HOPE, I wanted to restore the democratising meaning of an edition by allowing a greater number of people to acquire one of my works. The price range varies: the most affordable in the early editions, and as the series progresses the price increases. This is my way of bringing my work closer to the people who have been supporting me for so long, but haven’t had the chance to collect."

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by churchwood on Jul 15, 2024 10:13:12 GMT 1, hahaha - that was quick.
the elation of getting it in the cart, successfully clicking on what may be bridges only to be met with an empty cart.
I did get 3 different captcha attempts but each time the cart was empty by the time i got through to it - interested in whether anyone got one through the site this morning.

I liked the price point of the first drop and I think almost prefer the total sparseness of just the odd character in a sea of white

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Yabadabdo on Jul 15, 2024 10:20:40 GMT 1, I was extremely fast, only had 3 squares to click for captcha got through to postage which I believe was £65 but I didn't even read it just bashed buttons and still didn't get to payment. So if you paused, took a breath or dared to read anything then you were already too late!

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Romulus on Jul 15, 2024 11:00:57 GMT 1, The thing is, if you’re a business it makes little sense to sell these to 125 random buyers, most of whom will not be able to afford to carry on and purchase the more expensive prints.
Likewise, those with deeper pockets might be put off buying a more expensive print, if they’re unable to complete the set.
So hypothetically speaking, the best business practice would be to try and get the cheaper prints into the hands of serious collectors, despite what you might tell the public.
I’m not saying that’s what has been done here

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by pamplemousse on Jul 15, 2024 11:08:25 GMT 1, I didn't like this release when it was announced and still don't now.
The perceived value of something that is exactly the same edition size (125), same amount of hand finishing, i.e a gold figure with ink (minus the last 125) and cost in print and materials across 8 drops is ludicrous. £130 to £2000+
Does a more complete image justify the price hike when the labour and materials involved to produce them is identical? Each piece still had to be photographed every 3 figures, each print on the same 6 colour screen print stock. Yes a printer had to put down more black ink which is neither here nor there.
If these were originals then the cost being reflected in time for Pejac would make more sense.
You could argue a photograph of a piece of work that had more time spent on it should be reflected in price. Even though the first and last edition number within each batch will have 375 more or less figures.
Also dislike the fact that if you have a bigger wallet it gives your more chance of securing a print (as less people will try and buy) and you get a more 'complete' image. Seems skewed and wrong to me...
Perhaps the number of prints per batch should have been on a sliding scale too... some how.
Blah, a stream of conscious thoughts.
