Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by its all about me on Jul 15, 2024 11:48:45 GMT 1, These always were going to sell out quick because nearly all of them were sold pre-sale. However, the good news is that the next drop were not in the pre-sale triptych so there are far more up for grabs. They will still sell out in seconds, no doubt, but you will have a few more seconds this time around.
Makes me think I should have taken up the pre-sale offer after all and sold the ones I didn't want.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Acme Thunderer on Jul 15, 2024 12:13:14 GMT 1, Congratulations to everyone who has missed out - Iโm sure you will look back and wonder why the hell you tried to buy one in the first place.
As others have eluded to, itโs more gimmick than anything else.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Christian Avant Arte on Jul 15, 2024 13:31:47 GMT 1, Hey all!
We knew that the popularity of our collaboration with Pejac made it likely that there would be attempts to jump the queue with bots. Weโd put in a number of extra measures and steps on our site to mitigate this. However, when the first drop went live this morning, we noticed that there were some bots that were able to find their way around these measures. As a result, a number of the orders that came through were placed by bots. We apologise for this โ this is among the most in-demand editions weโve ever launched, and the approach used to avoid the precautions weโd put in was one that weโd never come across before.
Weโre committed to getting all the artwork we sell into the hands of genuine collectors, rather than those who want to resell for profit. To ensure that is the case for this release hereโs what weโre going to do:
- The seven remaining drops will be made available in a series of randomised draws. This enables us to manually review and exclude anyone using a bot or who we believe is a flipper. Everyone else who enters the draw will have an equal chance of getting a print. - We have cancelled all of the orders placed by bots this morning. As a result, 20 prints from this morningโs drop are still available. They will also be available in a randomised draw, which is now open. Enter today before 18:00 UK time on the drop page: avantarte.com/products/pejac-hope-release-1
The remaining seven drops will go live at the previously published times. The draw for each will open the moment that they go live, and remain open until the next drop goes live. The draw for the final drop (drop 8) will remain open for 24 hours.
Why didnโt we use draws to begin with?
This release is chronological by design, building from print 1 through to print 1000 over the course of a week. We wanted to pair this with a first come first served mechanic that was similarly chronological in nature, and believed the measures we put in place would mitigate the risk of bots. Unfortunately we got this wrong, but are confident that the solution of making subsequent drops available by draw will result in the fairest possible outcome.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by yoss on Jul 15, 2024 13:56:42 GMT 1, That's pretty cool of Avant Arte to realize that humans couldn't have placed an order in the time it took to sell out.
I'm waiting for someone to complain that their Tier 1 order was canceled on them.
I wonder if the IP addresses or credit card information used by the bots will get them banned from all future AA sales (not just Pejac drops)?
AA didn't say when the results of the draws will be notified. If someone bids on the 2nd tier and doesn't know if they won or lost, then they might not go for the 3rd tier or other tiers since they don't know how much of their money is tied up in previous draws...just saying.
But kudos to AA for trying to fight bots...

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Avant Arte on Jul 15, 2024 14:03:41 GMT 1, How about answering my question on the forum and via DM about the hand finishing. The 24ct gold leaf hand-finishing is applied by a specialist gilder, selected by Pejac but he is not the one applying the gold leaf.
If something is hand-finished by the artist themselves we'll usually explicitly say so on our website.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Avant Arte on Jul 15, 2024 14:20:35 GMT 1, stuckeyc Yes you can win multiple draws but due to the complexity we unfortunately can't combine orders in boxes.
yoss Anyone we identify as bot/flipper gets a flag and is removed from future draws. Draw winners will be emailed shortly after the draw closes. This will be after the next draw opens, but well in advance of it closing. So if you like you can wait on results before entering the next one.

Usually when a print is described as "hand finished" I assume it's by the artist, but maybe that's just me, and obviously that's not always the case.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by thecleaner on Jul 15, 2024 14:34:29 GMT 1, It was a good thing to see that you choose to change the process. One does not feel that it is particularly accessible when prints disappear in mere seconds.
Now that it is official that Pejac has not applied gold leaf to the works. What personal touch comes from Pejac other than the print itself and the planning. Did he sign the prints by hand, or was this also applied as part of the printing process? If the latter I'd say that this art might lose some interest as it feels like the artist has barely been close to the print.

Does that mean that the following prints were not finished by the artist? If you filter by "Hand-finished," their descriptions don't appear to include "hand-finished by artist."
If it's not hand-finished by the artist, it may be a bit misleading to specifically identify the prints as "hand-finished." The automatic assumption by most would be that the hand belongs to the artist. So to be more clear for potential customers, the word 'hand' might be better left off of those which aren't finished by the artist's hand.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by yoss on Jul 15, 2024 14:36:13 GMT 1, AA: Did (or will) Pejac do any hand-finishing on any of the works as kind of a bonus? I saw the video that (I assume it was Pejac's hand) detailing over the gold finish once it was applied and then there is another short bit in the video that shows Pejac drawing a non-gold person by hand.
Is the one where he is hand-drawing a non-gold person only for an OG or for the recording for the UV pigment print process? Or will a few lucky persons get a hand drawn person on some of the prints?
Thanks in advance for any details...
Oh...and congrats on the info that this was one of the most in-demand releases for AA!! I'm sure that made a few of the people (haters) here on UAA pretty upset...

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Acme Thunderer on Jul 15, 2024 14:44:30 GMT 1, Wasnโt hard to confirm it WASNโT hand finished by the artist. By trying to avoid answering just shows you were trying to mislead. Pathetic! You've really got a bee in your bonnet about this, haven't you. AA have told you more than once that the gold leaf is not applied by Pejac as have others on here. If you don't like it then move on. AA are big boys and donโt need any cheerleaders sticking up for them - that goes to you and anyone else who wants to try it on with me! ๐
If AA had replied when I asked a few weeks ago then I would have asked again.
Anyway, looks like others are interested to know the truth so hassle them as well.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by artearte on Jul 15, 2024 14:45:29 GMT 1, Hey all! To ensure that is the case for this release hereโs what weโre going to do: - The seven remaining drops will be made available in a series of randomised draws. Enter today before 18:00 UK time on the drop page: avantarte.com/products/pejac-hope-release-1The remaining seven drops will go live at the previously published times. You have another history?? Or this is the only one???
